the spellcheck thing is something i might try. but more to the point: it is important. really important. because you would be surprised (at least, i was surprised) at how some things just don’t exist. ideas. ways of viewing the world. ways of organizing time, of structuring, of judging. my book is nowhere near accurate, but i’ve been trying to keep the 18th century in my mind’s eye at all times—not just the look and the feel but the perspective.
