My short story based on swan maiden tales is out now in the world! Also I was interviewed by the wonderful Eileen Gunnell Lee. Truancy’s focus is on fairy tales, folktales, and myths from around the world, re-imagined for the 21st century. Click on the cover below to read!

And my goodness, what a launch day it’s shaping up to be. Right now my newsletter is stuck in Mailerlite, who chose this past weekend to do its largest upgrade ever … and had so many problems that it has suspended all email campaigns while it fixes them.
So this is a rule of self-publishing: no launch is smooth. I think with every book I’ve had some kind of unexpected problem, either in production or launch. I’ve learned to build in extra time and money into schedules. Now I’ll be adding an email alternative to the list … I have yet to find a service that’s as cheap per month as Mailerlite, but for something this important, having some kind of alternative is a must.
Meanwhile, Harkworth Hall is on sale, and that is going smashingly. So not all bad …
