This coming Saturday night is Lit Crawl, a literary pub crawl that’s part of San Francisco’s Litquake festival. I’ll be reading with the Horror Writers Association in support of Tales for the Camp Fire at 5:00 at Dalva, 3121 16th Street in SF. Come check us out!
After that … after that I am pulling into my shell for a while. I’ll be doing Nano again, but I have no more appearances and only a few deadlines. Since I rebooted myself into this writing career I have constantly struggled with balancing writing against, well, everything else, and so far the only way I’ve really gotten anything done is to put myself in shutdown mode. I have a terrible attention span, I get distracted by the Internet about thirty times a day, and at the rate I’ve been going I will finish all my projects in, oh, a decade or so, which is not very practical. If I need to forcibly unplug myself to get some damn words down, so be it.
So the newsletter will still go out, and I’ll come on if anything else pops up requiring promotion, and I will be clocking wordcount over at nanowrimo.org. Other than that – have a lovely autumn, and I will return in the new year. <3
