So so pleased to be podcast for a second time here. They did an excellent job with “Little Men with Knives” (Episode 429). Looking forward to listening tonight!
where it is read by the wonderful Abra Staffin-Wiebe. Episode 521, nearly one of my old building numbers, heh. It is a strange, wondrous experience to hear your work read by another person.
In other news, I have a new fancy Facebook Page, so if you’re a fan of the FB give it a like! Still can’t think of a username, but I’m working on it.
In other other news, I have finally seen the infinite war of avenging, and I liked it more than I thought I did. I made notes about stake-upping and when is something a lousy decision by a character and when is it just weak plotting. But I also saw this on Twitter today, and it resonated with me. Yes yes yes. These are the kinds of storytelling defaults that I need to interrogate in my own work, deeply, repeatedly.

YUH STILL CYAH TELL ME THAT [redacted] IS FUCKING LOVE, AND THE FACT THAT AN ENTIRE UNIVERSAL MAGICAL PASS/FAIL TEST WOULD ACCEPT THAT IT LOOKS LIKE LOVE OR SACRIFICE STILL FUCKING FRUSTRATES ME

It’s up! I love hearing my work read by others … and that they took the time to explicate the title. It’s turning into a banner week here. 🙂
