smoothing out some rough patches on milan. venice is done, for now, truly done, until i start getting feedback on it. in another week or two we should be back in paris, again, this time for a good long stretch. hurrah! i’ve missed the paris crew. so many fun povs to write.
nothing much else to report at the moment, save that robert massie’s biography of catherine the great is fabulous, and i’m sorely tempted to keep sneaking away and gulping down a chapter or two. it’s a bio that reads like a novel.
oh, and i just read:
a good essay which encapsulates a lot of my half-baked theories about the purpose of fiction. will be revisiting this.
