It is week two of sheltering in place. I’ll be sending out my newsletter as usual in early April (have you signed up? you can sign up here), but here are a few updates from my little corner of the world:
As a thank you to everyone for taking this virus seriously, the ebook of Vacui Magia is currently available on Gumroad as a pay what you want. You can enter 0 and get it for free, or you can toss a coin to your writer! You’ll get both the ePub and the mobi file, so feel free to pass one along to a fellow reader.
While visiting the store, folks have been availing themselves of the last of the little Sabbaths books I made for convention season. As convention season is now cancelled pretty much through May, I’m going to see about making more this week (some packing/printing stores are open as they’re considered essential) and putting them back up. So if this is something you’re interested in, check back on Friday.
And a convention update: Wondercon is cancelled. The Las Positas Literary Festival, where I was going to lead a workshop, is cancelled. The Nebulas have shifted to an online format, so I should still be there in virtual form. I suspect we won’t know about June/July events for another month yet. If ever there was a time to splurge on something from your favorite creator, be they writers, illustrators, crafters, what have you, now is the time. We’re all taking a hefty income loss and it’s only March.
Strange days indeed, my friends. But we are better together than apart. Take care of yourselves and each other. <3 LSJ
