wattpad

December 10, 2015 by L.S. Johnson

4 stories cover for wattpad smallso as some of you may know, i have a few older pieces up on wattpad now – and the real pleasure of watching autocorrect change that to “wattled” every time i type it. it’s an unusual place, that wattled – i mean wattpad 😉 – with writers of every stage and age and stripe all jostling together. it makes me feel my age, but somehow in a different, better way.

right now a collection of four flashes – “all our frames are dust,” “alice, her katabasis,” (not databases autocorrect! i feel like i should be drinking to better enjoy this), “baobabs,” and “salmacis” (salamis? autocorrect, that’s just rude) are part of the featured list under short story. which is already leading to some interesting info: which story do readers connect with the most? which one are they bouncing off of the most? and does having one work featured do anything for the other two novelettes up there right now (“clotho” and “pursuit of the whole”?)

i am . . . intrigued, let us say, to see how this plays out over the next few months.
